Obama's stance on the Bush power grab…

“The biggest problems that we’re facing right now have to do with George Bush trying to bring more and more power into the executive branch and not go through Congress at all. And that’s what I intend to reverse when I’m president of the United States.” -Sen. Barack Obama, March 31, 2008

Yeah… ok… so how’s that workin’ out for ya, Oblahblah?

One Response to “Obama's stance on the Bush power grab…”

Obama learned quite well how to make the executive branch larger, much larger. GW just got things started in the direction he was going to go and George did go too far. 9/11 was a sccary threat and I think we were all (most Democrats included) fearful that other attacks were coming and we were quite willing to do anything it took to make sure it didn’t. But we have to stick to the standards we expect the world to follow. We MUST, MUST adhere to the Constitution and keep central government small and that means ALL the branches. These days I recommend that everyone carry a pocket size copy of the Constituion in your pocket or purse and you can always have an answer to give to someone who wants to argue politics. I believe it is time for another party to form as well, and I am leaning toward Ron Paul. He is an honest, modest, and moral man who simply wants to live by the truth. Barack Obama is a scary scary leader and I am getting that (as he said to do) by looking at the people with whom is associated. It does speak louder than words and so it tells me (as does Michelle Malkin in “Culture of Corruption”) that we are in for some rocky roads ahead. Pray daily for our country, and pray for our leaders (yes they need it more than anyone)that the truth in poliicy is the best for America, all of America.
