I watched Fox and Friends this morning, as I do nearly every morning. Yes, in case you haven’t figured it out already, I’m one of those right wing extremist nutjobs who think the only one of the major broadcast news outlets that has anything worth watching is Fox. Sue me or shoot me… your choice. I don’t care.
So anyway, Michelle Malkin was on. She’s always got something fun to listen to and/or to read. In case you have never heard of her, Michelle is the author of a book called “Culture of Corruption“, in which she dissects the history of the cronies of Obama that are IN the White House with him, and the man himself and ties up all the corrupt loose ends these bad guys have tried to leave tattered and unexposed.
As important as the book is, what’s even more important is that Michelle is a libertarian conservative author who doesn’t sit back on her laurels and live off her book earnings. She’s a real journalist who is all about getting to the truth behind the headlines. She’s also intent on exposing the tactics, lies and the spin from the current administration. Of which, it seems, there is never any shortage.
The reason she was on Fox and Friends this morning had to do with the latter.
Unless you’ve been living on Pluto (which is not a planet anymore, by the way – hate to be the one to break it to ya) for the past week or so, you’re probably well aware of the fact that Oblahblah himself, along with his hordes of administration minions have declared war on Fox News. Screw the Taliban and Al Queda in AfPak, they’re declaring war on a U.S. based news agency.
Specifically, they’re attempting to discredit the organization by saying it’s NOT a “real” news outlet. They’re saying it’s no better than “talk radio” or “opinion television”. They’re saying it’s got a conflict of interest because PROFITS drive it’s “reporting”.
Dear Mr. Obama and his cronies: NEWS FLASH! NO news company is a “not-for-profit” organization. Your lovers over at CNN, ABC, CBS, PBS, and all of the NBC channels are ALL interested in PROFITS to drive their reporting… or else they no longer have the cash to continue “reporting”. Duh… ok, I lied… good old PBS (and NPR) aren’t “for profit”, but they have the benefit of the government’s funding to rely on. The rest of them rely on advertising revenue.
And in regards to the “not a real news organization” comment, if they’re not, who is? They operate nearly exactly the same as any other news organization out there… they simple report from a different perspective. Evidently the Oblahblah administration has taken it upon themselves to define what IS and IS NOT an appropriate perspective to report the news from. Of course, the appropriate perspective would be one that shows them in a glowing halo of awe-inspiring and question eliminating light. *puke* How Chavez-Castro-Stalin-Putin-Hitler-MAO-Nixon-esque of them…
Ok… back to my original thought…
So the leader of the so-called “free world” is now waging war against a PRESS organization claiming it is not REAL press. He’s REALLY attacking them because they’re the only major network that’s got any balls to stand up to this administration and call them to the carpet on their hypocrisy, lies, and radically socialist tactics.
Well… here are the questions Michelle Malkin has for the current administration…
1) Hasn’t your White House set a DANGEROUS precident in publicly declaring WHICH news organizations are legitimate and which are not?
Think FIRST AMENDMENT of the U.S. Constitution. Back to my point earlier about the administration taking it upon themselves to be the ultimate authority on what is news and what is not. That’s for the people to decide, not the Executive (or even the Legislative or Judicial) Branch of the government. This is beyond their authority, not to mention PETTY, JUVENILE, STUPID, and a downright WASTE of taxpayer money and resources. The government has NO place making these calls or sticking their nose here. It doesn’t belong in it. It is the totalitarian despotic government that attempts this sort of thing, regardless of HOW you feel about Fox. You can love them or you can hate them – doesn’t matter, but either way, you SHOULD be sick at this, and outraged. It’s an OBVIOUS push form the administration to try and ensure none of the other outlets (I affectionately refer to them as the “state run media”) report on what Fox does, or attempt to reflect Fox’s perspective on anything they report on.
2) What did you talk about in your “off the record” meeting with (left leaning) opinion journalists at White House-friendly media outlets?
Seriously, what the hell is the administration doing holding a meeting like this with so-called “journalists” (TALKING HEADS)? If this isn’t a ‘bribe’, I don’t know what is. “Come get some face-time with the dear leader. Let him grace you with his presence, and woo you with his charm… so you will continue to feed from his hand like the lapdog that you are”. *gag* Yeah, one of these opinion journalists was the super sensitive, compassionately tolerant liberal Keith Olbermann, who recently called Michelle Malkin a “mashed up meat bag with lipstick”. Nice guy, right? Yeah, he’s my hero. /sarcasm. Someone needs to mash up his meatballs with a size 14. No lipstick needed. This hateful, violent jackass fits right in with these Chicago mob-type corny politicians in the White House.
3) If a Republican Administration operated the way you have, what grade for transparency would you give it?
Oh you can bet the last of your 401k (which, if it looks like mine, is worth about 50 cents now) that these progressives would be screaming at the very top of their lungs “TREASON!” if a republican administration was doing this crap. (I’d just like to say that I’m no republican, either) As a matter of fact, these people WERE doing just that (screaming) when Bush was in office, and operated his administration very similarly. Remember Pelosi’s weekly (and seemingly daily) rants about how “dissent is not unpatriotic”? She’s changed her tune since the dissent is not in their favor now. I know it’s hard, but try to hold your shock and amazement!

The Obama administration has repeatedly attempted to restrict Free Speech in America.
They have proven to the American People that the government does not want to recognize the Constitutionally guaranteed rights of anyone who openly, and legitimately criticizes the administrations’ policies and agendas.
They clearly believe the only time Free Speech should be protected is when that speech agrees with them, despite what the Constitution says.

With administration spokespeople making comments about certain news agencies only being opinionated media, and not REAL news outlets… with people like Mark Lloyd, appointed by the administration as the Chief “Diversity” Officer (whatever the hell that is) of the FCC, making comments about how he admires Hugo Chavez and the way he handled state takeover of media in Venezuela… with hypocrites like Nancy Pelosi in positions of power within the Congress calling for a ‘balance’ of Free Speech and “safety” and then censoring her opponents free speech within the Congress… and with news outlets being compared to “state run” news agencies because of their lack of coverage of stories that are not favorable to the progressive agenda… it’s pretty obvious to me that not only the current administration, but their bedfellows within Congress, and even the corporate world and the media are all trying to snuff out any dissenting opinion which might actually cause the American People to think for themselves and QUESTION the agenda and plans of the government… and call them out on the carpet about them…
The Constitution didn’t “Give” us the right to free speech… we were born with it. The Constitution simply calls it out as a God-given right, and DEMANDS that our government PROTECTS it for each citizen of the United States. You can tell a whole lot about an administration by the way it treats the 1st Amendment when it comes to dissenting opinion. This administration seems to abhor the God-given right of Free Speech for anyone who disagrees with them… what’s that tell you about their agenda?
It tells me that to them, their agenda is more important than the Constitutionally guaranteed rights of We the People and any regime that values their own agenda above the rights guaranteed to their Citizens is a totalitarian regime… whether it be a monarchical regime, a despotic regime, a communist regime, a socialist regime, theocratic regime… or a fascist regime… it’s a totalitarian regime at it’s core and the Founding Fathers ALL agreed that such a regime should be opposed by We the People…

Ok, so I apologize for not writing much over the past few days. I’ve been burnt out for awhile and just haven’t felt like writing my thoughts out on the blog.
In order to get myself back into the swing of things, here’s the Rant of the Day…
Yep. I’m angry again. I’m livid. I’m seeing red… literally.
I cannot believe my very own eyes. I cannot believe what I am seeing. I cannot… oh who am I kidding? I CAN believe it… even if I really hate admitting it.
So, China (communist/socialist/pseudo-capitalist China) is celebrating its 60th anniversary on October 1st. Sixty years of dictatorship within the confines of the Chinese borders. Sixty years of oppression of dissenting opinions, torture of dissidents, work camps, government forced starvation, mandated killing of children to control population, etc… great strides in the area of ‘social engineering’ wouldn’t you say?
On that bright and cheery note, it appears that someone, somewhere, buried deep within in some little known (or well known) US government bureaucracy had at some point given the approval to assist in helping the Red Chinese government and people to celebrate this “momentous” occasion over this past weekend. Not just in helping to organize it, or just by giving them a place somewhere in the US to celebrate it, but to provide that place… in Washington, DC.
Oh… it gets better.
That place within the confines of Washington, DC, is located just outside the Whitehouse complex, near the back lawn of the complex, within eyeshot of it. As in, you can see the Whitehouse from the park where this celebration took place.
I’m not done here… there’s more. It gets even better… Are you sitting down? Do you have a piece of leather laying around you can bite down on so you don’t bite or swallow your tongue? Because this will probably send you into a seizure… it’ll, at the least, give you a migraine…
So, are you curious as to what they did at this park? They raised the communist Red Chinese flag alongside (and to the same height as) Old Glory… right there within view of the back of the Whitehouse. Oops… I think I vomited a little in the back of my mouth. Sorry.
OW! My head… it hurts! …and so does my heart when I think about all the sacrifices that so many brave US marines, sailors and soldiers have made throughout the decades in order to protect us from the tyranny and oppression of communism/socialism. All those men and women died to keep us free from that oppression and tyranny, and here is the US government nodding at the communist Chinese flag being raised within yards of the Whitehouse. This is their families’ payment… a mockery… a sham… a thumb in the nose… like this? Thanks for giving up your family members… now, shove it!

I guess I’m behind the curve because today is the first time I’ve seen this (I’ll get to it in a minute), and of course being the obsessed, angry person that I am, I’m absolutely indignantly inflamed by it.
The “CARS” (Car Allowance Rebate System) or “Cash for Clunkers” program was touted by the government as the green savior both for the auto related industry from a monetary perspective, and the “earth” from the environmental perspective. We were going to get all these clunkers and jalopies off the road that are spewing tons and tons of nasty, gene-mutating, monster-creating pollution into the air. In addition, we were going to save Kajillions and Kajillions (not a real word, I made it up… in case you couldn’t tell) of gallons of gasoline by getting shiny, brand new, sparkly, angel-like, fuel efficient cars on the road. It’ll be harmony between man, nature, and machine, just like the touchy feely Prius commercial says… *gag*
The glorious leaders in Congress were going to graciously grant up to $4500 to each person who brought in a clunker to trade up to a vehicle that had 10 mpg over the mpg rating of the clunker brought in for trade. Pretty sweet gig if you can get it, right? Well… save your enthusiasm for a few minutes and keep reading…
No one expected it to be as ridiculously popular as it was. To hear its proponents talk after it started, it was the greatest thing since, or BEFORE sliced bread. It had a tremendous take rate and within a week, they had run out of funding and our infinitely wise and supreme, fiscally responsible overlords in Congress decided we needed to dump more piles of crisp, newly printed money (thanks, Ben Bernanke!) into the program. Within 29 days or so, we burned through the allotted amount and they shut down the ‘wildly successful’ program… and patted themselves on the back smugly, enjoying the elitist satisfaction of showing everyone how smart and wise they are for generating such a great, honorable, sound, green-ish program that actually ‘worked’. Yay them! Woohoo! … or not …
Problem is… it only LOOKS successful on the surface. The more you investigate and dig into it (something the illustrious Congress is not known for doing very well unless they’re looking to railroad someone), the more you see it was a trainwreck and a complete and total waste of money… we’re talking PORK here… big time. This was a secondary auto industry bailout… (for the Japanese and Koreans, but that’s a whole other article…)
First of all, before I get into the math of why this didn’t work, let me briefly (just briefly) talk about the fact that the rebates for these vehicles were to be handed out by the government as REIMBURSEMENTS to the dealers, who FRONTED customers the cash on the vehicles they purchased. Get that? It’s out of pocket from the dealers. You add that to incentives, etc., on each vehicle and you can see that this is a tremendous amount of cash they’re laying out. Cash they’re strapped for already. As you can imagine since this is the government we’re talking about, the rebate checks to the dealers do not happen instantaneously. They have to wait for them… and some of them are being denied due to failure to meet the CARS criteria (even though they actually MEET the criteria – typical government crap). Of the rebates that have been applied for, about 1/3 so far have actually gotten the rebates. The Transportation Secretary relays that they hope to have the rest processed and handed out by September 30th, but if I were a dealer, I would not be holding my breath in anticipation. How often has a government projected deadline come and gone with no action? Never, right? Yeah… thought so.
Now… to the numbers… this is what made blood shoot out of my eyeballs…
“A vehicle that gets 15 mpg and does 12,000 miles per year uses 800
gallons a year of gasoline. (They call this a Clunker…even though it runs perfectly)
A vehicle that gets 25 mpg and does 12,000 miles per year uses 480
gallons a year. (A New Car)
So, the average clunker transaction will reduce US gasoline consumption
by 320 gallons per year.
They claim 700,000 vehicles were part of this program, so that’s 224
million gallons/year. (or 700,000 whole good cars lost)
That equates to a bit over 5 million barrels of oil.
5 million barrels of oil is about ¼ of one day’s US consumption.
And, 5 million barrels of oil costs about $350 million dollars at $75/bbl.
So, we all contributed, through our taxes, to spending over $3 billion to
save $350 million.”
Nice, right? Is that not your typical government operation? We saved less than 0.2 percent per year of our gasoline usage! Not 2%… ZERO POINT 2%… Two tenths of one percent…
{sarcasm} WOOHOO! Shout it from the friggin’ mountain tops and write songs about it and sing it to your kids as bedtime nursery rhymes, because that, my friends, is a friggin’ deal and a half! I can hardly contain myself! {/sarcasm}
If these idiots can’t get this minor program right, what the hell makes you think they’re going to get Insurance Reform (the progressive catch phrase it’s being called today…) right, much less a “public option”, when we’ve wasted so much on this and then “social security”, Medicaid, Medicare, Amtrak and even the friggin’ POST OFFICE are absolutely broke and bankrupt!?
Oh… and don’t even get me started on the “green” side of this… there is none, but if I went into details about that here, my head might just spontaneously combust or something… so I’ll spare you that. You can look it up for yourself…

I’ve been doing a lot of thinking lately, especially after watching this whole thing with Van Jones go down, and I’ve come to the conclusion that in the next election, I will be voting third party.
While the Van Jones controversy has been transpiring, I kept wondering where is the outrage from Congress about a self avowed communist having the President’s ear. In addition to the communism thing, all of his other idiotic statements, and still, nothing from Congress. Only after public outrage got vehement and was blasted all over Fox News (who themselves were WAY behind the curve on this), did some republican Congressmen voice their opposition to Jones being in any position of authority. I wrote my Congressmen (Senators and Representative) exptressing my outrage at the lack of opposition from Congress, and more specifically, THEM on the issue. I asked them where were the patriots in Congress who took their roles and responsibilities, that We the People have charged them with – as in, upholding and defending the Constitution from ALL enemies foreign AND domestic, seriously! Where were the brave men and women in the Congress who would rise up and put their collective foot down on this administration’s ACTIVE erosion of civil rights and Constitutionality!? There was NOTHING on their sites about it. Nothing on the news (even Fox) from them about it. They were sitting back and being as quiet as the mainstream news, meanwhile Facebook, Blogs, Twitter and others were lit up and going insane crying out begging for someone, ANYONE to listen…
So the democrats are looking to take this country into the realm of socialism/communism, and the republicans are content to sit back and watch silently as the democrats drive the bus off the cliff… well, not on my watch, not in my backyard. No.
From this moment on… for the rest of my life… I will never vote for either major party again.
Democrats, you’ve lost me completely due to your policies. Republicans, you’ve lost me due to your inaction and your silence.
Goodbye two party system. I will make it my life’s goal to promote third, fourth, or even fifth parties… however many it takes.
