A Nation of Fools by Peary Perry

“LIAR, LIAR…PANTS ON FIRE…”

So much to write about, so little time. One thing you have to say about old George W. Bush was the fact that he only gave us one or two things to discuss every couple of weeks. Not so with the current Obamathon, the hits just keep on coming in hour by hour, moment by moment. Hardly a day goes by without some new revelation being thrown to us before we have had a moment to absorb the previous diatribe from 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. If you can’t find something to dislike about the way this administration is attempting to run this country and our lives, then you’re probably dead and just don’t know it. Check your pulse.

First let me bring to your attention the creation of several new legislative committees designed to help us through the current financial crisis. The acronyms give us some idea of our legislators intentions.

Senate-House Allied For Taxpayers (SHAFT)

Select Committee Responsible Enablement Workforces (SCREW)

House Actively Taxing Everything (HATE)

The last one is the favorite of Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, who goes by the abbreviation of SOTH….(speaker of the house) which she favors since the letters can be rearranged to spell…HOTS….No one can explain her fascination with this term since it cannot possibly be attributed to her looks…perhaps it’s her undying adoration for the current occupant of the White House? Who knows? Who cares?

During World War II, the Office Of Strategic Services, the forerunner to today’s CIA produced this psychological profile of Adolf Hitler… “His primary rules were: never allow the public to cool off; never admit a fault or wrong; never concede that there may be some good in your enemy; never leave room for alternatives; never accept blame; concentrate on one enemy at a time and blame him for everything that goes wrong; people will believe a big lie sooner than a little one; and if you repeat it frequently enough people will sooner or later believe it.” This was known as ‘the big lie’.

I ask you to look over the above profile and tell me what player on the political stage of today comes to your mind. I thought so. The internet is rife with lists of lies and broken promises made by the current occupant living in the White House. I wonder if the toilet backs up in the Lincoln bedroom, does Obama think George W. caused it to overflow. You only have to use your computer to look the lies and broken promises to see for yourself. How they can issue these statements with a straight face and without laughing is beyond me. We can hardly keep up with them all since they’re dispensed so fast and furious. Of course the broken promises are not being reported by the traditional media who has yet to see that the emperor they adore is standing in front of all us completely naked. It’s small wonder that newspapers as well as news programs are losing revenues and getting into financial difficulty the more they attempt to sugar coat the truth from the rest of us.

But then you know this or you wouldn’t be reading these words in the first place. The problem for those of us not wearing blinders is what methods do we use to convince those still sipping the Kool-Aid of the day to save themselves from total destruction? Waterboarding is out as well as other non-lethal forms of persuasion, but what is permissible?

Well, if you want my opinion …it’s to keep on going and continue doing what we have been doing….write, call, fax, e-mail, text, speak out at meetings and most of all vote for those who believe as we do, not the professionals living within the beltway. The events of the recent weeks should give us hope as well as strengthen our hearts that the American public is not ready and willing to swallow the big lie. We are not robots, we are not idiots, we are not mindless, we are Americans who can see the truth and who know when we are being lied to. The empty promises spoken to this country during last years election are now starting to rot in the fields of so called … ‘hope and change’. During his campaign Barack Obama made a statement in one of his speeches using the phrase … “Words, just words…”

Sorry, Charlie but this is starting to wear thin. Americans know that actions speak louder than words…..so far all we have seen are words coming out of the mouth of a person desiring to be a potential rock star or an anchor man on the six o’clock news. Come to think of it the anchor man position should be an easy jump for the great one as he is very experienced with reading from a teleprompter. A rock star requires memory work so that leaves him out.

Complaints go nowhere…

The Federalist Papers…

Another resource available to anyone interested, is a collection of writings by a few of the US Founding Fathers called “The Federalist Papers” (<~click).

The Federalist Papers were written in support of the US Constitution by those men in order to explain the failings of the now-defunct “Articles of Confederation”, and to describe the thoughts and intents behind the (at the time) proposed Constitution.

A good read.

Just in case you have never read it for yourself, the passage above links to a copy of the US Constitution on line. You should read it for yourself every now and then… and remind yourself what our Country was founded upon…

Not sure if you know what a Holga camera is, but if you don’t and you love photography, you should do some research on the Holga.

The pictures the Holga produce are simply amazing. Ephemeral, ethereal,  mystical… they’re gorgeous. I’m truly in love with this form of photography. I’m hooked. I need to get a darkroom though, because film developing is so stinking expensive…

They’ve gone too far… and not far enough

I’ve got something stirring in my heart and my head that I hope I can express effectively.I don’t do a good enough job in the communication department, so bear with me as I try to get it all sorted out…

I’m sure by now, you’re completely familiar with the tactics that the Obama administration and the Congress have been using to push their collective (I used that word on purpose) will into every area of the so-called “free market” (what’s left of it), not to mention every area of your daily life. It’s all over the place. However, even though the information is out there, most of the media outlets don’t seem to be doing a great job of connecting the dots for themselves… much less for those who read/listen/view their content. Well, maybe they do actually connect the dots, but they’re ok with it, so they spin the news in an attempt to keep people complacent in their ignorance. I’ll leave that up to you to decide for yourself.

Obama is on record countless times talking about “fundamentally transforming the United States of America“, “leveling the playing field“, “redistributive change“, “social justice“, and “redistribution of wealth“. Have you noticed that he rarely ever talks about what he means by those catch phrases, since he’s been in office, so that the average citizen has an understanding of what the man (and his entourage) stands for? Do you think that is an oversight on his part? Do you think he slipped and forgot to elaborate? Don’t bet on it, my friends. Don’t bet on it.

These are ALL key words and catch phrases designed to sound wonderful, spectacular, different, and soft-n-fluffy, but they are… just like most everything related to Obama and what he stands for… grand illusions. They are something nefarious pretending to be something grand and good. They are an attempt to redirect and deflect sunlight… but sunlight has a way of showing the truth about everything… if you’re willing to look closely enough.

Obama is a socialist, pure and simple. His aims are to take from those who bust their humps to be successful and then give SOME of it to those who do nothing but hold out their hands for donation… but the rest is to go into the ruling elite’s pockets. This is the crux of “social justice” and all the other wonderful sounding phrases he throws around like candy.

That’s the whole point of his administration using an iron fist to impose its will upon the financial sector and limit the executive pay. This is the whole reason for the bailouts and the executive pay caps, and all that crap. It’s also the reason this administration is reaching into every sector of the American economy that it can in order to exert its cranky influence and control the every day life of every American citizen.

It’s no different than the British monarchy trying to control the colonies to the extent that led up to our fight for independence. At the time, the Crown was taxing everything it could (which wasn’t even close to the taxes we’re paying today in America), all the while refusing to give the colonists any representation within the British government. The people felt like they were slaves to the Crown, which in fact, they were. They were SUBJECTS, not citizens.They had no voice. They had no say in what went on. Their “leaders” were not accountable to them.

Is it any different today? Between the administration pushing agendas that the vast majority of Americans are NOT for, and Congress – our supposed ‘elected representatives’ – NOT listening to We the People and pushing the administration’s agenda blindly, is it any wonder that there is serious discontent out there? Is it any wonder that We the People are becoming louder and louder in expressing our disdain with the out of control practices of the government that refuses to reign itself in and listen to those that have elected them?

The more I read from the Founding Fathers of this great nation, the more I am inspired by their words, and the more I realize how observant they were. Take for instance this quote from Samuel Adams, that seems to have been written specifically for us, at this current crossroad in political philosophies…

It is observable, that though many have disregarded life, and contemned liberty, yet there are few men who do not agree that property is a valuable acquisition, which ought to be held sacred. Many have fought, bled, and died for this, who have been insensible to all other obligations. Those who ridicule the ideas of right and justice, faith and truth among men, will put a high value upon money. Property is admitted to have an existence, even in the savage state of nature. The bow, the arrow, and the tomahawk; the hunting and the fishing ground, are species of property, as important to an American savage, as pearls, rubies, and diamonds are to the Mogul, or a Nabob in the East, or the lands, tenements, hereditaments, messuages, gold and silver of the Europeans. And if property is necessary for the support of savage life, it is by no means less so in civil society. The Utopian schemes of leveling, and a community of goods, are as visionary and impracticable, as those which vest all property in the Crown, are arbitrary, despotic, and in our government unconstitutional. Now, what property can the colonists be conceived to have, if their money may be granted away by others, without their consent?” – Samuel Adams

He saw through the hypocrisy and stupidity of socialism, although they didn’t call it that then. He saw that there was NO difference in monarchy and state-ism. They were the same. He also saw that just like in a monarchy, in a state-controlled economy the greed of the one controlling it knows no bounds. It goes too far… and not far enough. It goes too far in the view of the citizens and in the view of the state, it doesn’t go far enough.

Just like then, and throughout history in general… in the view of We the People – and the Founding Fathers, the current Congress and administration have gone TOO far… but apparently, in their own view, they haven’t gone far enough!

There is no reform… The answer is to fire them all… start over.

The One is beginning to crack…

In my browsing of some of my favorite sites today, I came across an article that piqued my interest.

First, it’s interesting to me that tabloids have been credited with breaking a number of significant stories in the past. I wasn’t quite aware of that.

Second, it is good to see that the messiah-in-chief is indeed human. It appears that the stigma regarding his thin skin is, in fact, true. Apparently, he’s lashed out at a number of people due to his inability to handle the pressures of the office he so adamantly coveted. I guess his lack of practical executive experience is showing through and it’s gotten too much for him to deal with actually delivering on all his unicorn-and-rainbow promises of “hope” and “change”.

Three simple questions…

I watched Fox and Friends this morning, as I do nearly every morning. Yes, in case you haven’t figured it out already, I’m one of those right wing extremist nutjobs who think the only one of the major broadcast news outlets that has anything worth watching is Fox. Sue me or shoot me…  your choice. I don’t care.

So anyway, Michelle Malkin was on. She’s always got something fun to listen to and/or to read. In case you have never heard of her, Michelle is the author of a book called “Culture of Corruption“, in which she dissects the history of the cronies of Obama that are IN the White House with him,  and the man himself and ties up all the corrupt loose ends these bad guys have tried to leave tattered and unexposed.

As important as the book is, what’s even more important is that Michelle is a libertarian conservative author who doesn’t sit back on her laurels and live off her book earnings. She’s a real journalist who is all about getting to the truth behind the headlines. She’s also intent on exposing the tactics, lies and the spin from the current administration. Of which, it seems, there is never any shortage.

The reason she was on Fox and Friends this morning had to do with the latter.

Unless you’ve been living on Pluto (which is not a planet anymore, by the way – hate to be the one to break it to ya) for the past week or so, you’re probably well aware of the fact that Oblahblah himself, along with his hordes of administration minions have declared war on Fox News. Screw the Taliban and Al Queda in AfPak, they’re declaring war on a U.S. based news agency.

Specifically, they’re attempting to discredit the organization by saying it’s NOT a “real” news outlet. They’re saying it’s no better than “talk radio” or “opinion television”. They’re saying it’s got a conflict of interest because PROFITS drive it’s “reporting”.

Dear Mr. Obama and his cronies: NEWS FLASH! NO news company is a “not-for-profit” organization. Your lovers over at CNN, ABC, CBS, PBS, and all of the NBC channels are ALL interested in PROFITS to drive their reporting… or else they no longer have the cash to continue “reporting”. Duh… ok, I lied… good old PBS (and NPR) aren’t “for profit”, but they have the benefit of the government’s funding to rely on. The rest of them rely on advertising revenue.

And in regards to the “not a real news organization” comment, if they’re not, who is? They operate nearly exactly the same as any other news organization out there… they simple report from a different perspective. Evidently the Oblahblah administration has taken it upon themselves to define what IS and IS NOT an appropriate perspective to report the news from. Of course, the appropriate perspective would be one that shows them in a glowing halo of awe-inspiring and question eliminating light. *puke* How Chavez-Castro-Stalin-Putin-Hitler-MAO-Nixon-esque of them…

Ok… back to my original thought…

So the leader of the so-called “free world” is now waging war against a PRESS organization claiming it is not REAL press. He’s REALLY attacking them because they’re the only major network that’s got any balls to stand up to this administration and call them to the carpet on their hypocrisy, lies, and radically socialist tactics.

Well… here are the questions Michelle Malkin has for the current administration…

1) Hasn’t your White House set a DANGEROUS precident in publicly declaring WHICH news organizations are legitimate and which are not?

Think FIRST AMENDMENT of the U.S. Constitution. Back to my point earlier about the administration taking it upon themselves to be the ultimate authority on what is news and what is not. That’s for the people to decide, not the Executive (or even the Legislative or Judicial) Branch of the government. This is beyond their authority, not to mention PETTY, JUVENILE, STUPID, and a downright WASTE of taxpayer money and resources. The government has NO place making these calls or sticking their nose here. It doesn’t belong in it. It is the totalitarian despotic government that attempts this sort of thing, regardless of HOW you feel about Fox. You can love them or you can hate them – doesn’t matter, but either way, you SHOULD be sick at this, and outraged. It’s an OBVIOUS push form the administration to try and ensure none of the other outlets (I affectionately refer to them as the “state run media”) report on what Fox does, or attempt to reflect Fox’s perspective on anything they report on.


2) What did you talk about in your “off the record” meeting with (left leaning) opinion journalists at White House-friendly media outlets?

Seriously, what the hell is the administration doing holding a meeting like this with so-called “journalists” (TALKING HEADS)? If this isn’t a ‘bribe’, I don’t know what is. “Come get some face-time with the dear leader. Let him grace you with his presence, and woo you with his charm… so you will continue to feed from his hand like the lapdog that you are”. *gag* Yeah, one of these opinion journalists was the super sensitive, compassionately tolerant liberal Keith Olbermann, who recently called Michelle Malkin a “mashed up meat bag with lipstick”. Nice guy, right? Yeah, he’s my hero. /sarcasm. Someone needs to mash up his meatballs with a size 14. No lipstick needed. This hateful, violent jackass fits right in with these Chicago mob-type corny politicians in the White House.

3) If a Republican Administration operated the way you have, what grade for transparency would you give it?

Oh you can bet the last of your 401k (which, if it looks like mine, is worth about 50 cents now) that these progressives would be screaming at the very top of their lungs “TREASON!” if a republican administration was doing this crap. (I’d just like to say that I’m no republican, either) As a matter of fact, these people WERE doing just that (screaming) when Bush was in office, and operated his administration very similarly. Remember Pelosi’s weekly (and seemingly daily) rants about how “dissent is not unpatriotic”? She’s changed her tune since the dissent is not in their favor now. I know it’s hard, but try to hold your shock and amazement!

Ok, so… I’m done ranting now…
